PROGRAMS

Migrant Childcare/Preschool:

Our preschool, Pescaditos del Salvador is near the remote coffee farms in Atenas, Costa Rica. We primarily focus on serving vulnerable children in our community during the coffee harvest season, from October to February.

We offer each child daily meals, psychological care, necessary medical attention, Bible-based education, and practical learning encompassing crafts, physical fitness, and essential life skills. Our programs provide a safe haven for these children while their parents labor in the coffee fields.

Early Childhood Education

Our Bible-based education program is designed for "at-risk" mothers, with a year-round focus on promoting positive child discipline practices and age-specific child development skills. We offer personalized mentorship for each mother, along with monthly family events that incorporate the message of Jesus Christ, fellowship, and enjoyment.

Some of our educational themes cover topics like postpartum expectations, lactation, family values, positive child discipline, child safety, hygiene, nutrition, early childhood stimulation, physical health, child-rearing routines, and baby massage.

Why our programs?

I wanted to know on a personal basis how this program helped our mom’s, so I asked one of our mom’s.  Her response encompassed everything God is doing here in the El Nido Program:

“My name Is Bielka Blandon, I am Nicaraguan, 29 years old, single mother and have a daughter who is one year old.  I learned about the Center from a friend and I contacted (Yuli/ Jill) who was incharge of the program and she invited me to come to an event.  I participate because it is a very beautiful and unique experience, mom’s come, we share time together and get to know one another.  They give talks about how to care for our children, talk most importantly about God and that is my favorite.  They also help us with things for our babies like, diapers, milk, clothes, and other products because as a single mom I don't have help from her father.  I would invite other mom’s to the program because we receive emotional help and feel loved and supported.  We can see that God never abandons us and through all the staff at the center God is the one helping all of us through them, we feel His love and are eternally grateful.”

What will your assistance enable us to do?  Keep caring for the children, blessing and walking alongside our mom’s and ministering to their families.  Open the doors to the new facility to provide for even more children.  And most importantly give the opportunity for these families to not only hear the Word of God, but to see it in action through His body, the Church!
