What happens when you give to missiontocostarica.com ?!!
John and I want you to know the impact you are making each month by giving. First, we are now open five days a week at the childcare/preschool. The children in our center are able to eat breakfast, lunch and two snacks every single day. Food insecurity in Costa Rica is extremely high with 23% of households living in poverty according to the most recent census by INEC.CR
Our immigrant families are even at a HIGHER risk and live in the EXTREME poverty category. Your help and financial support actually saves lives and helps fight childhood malnourishment/HUNGER.
Second, we are a 100% giveback foundation! Help us continue to operate to the fullest of our capacity here in the mountains of Costa Rica at our childcare/preschool. Many of you are already giving and we want to sincerely “Thank You,” for changing our little one’s lives. We also want to ask you to consider sharing our information with FIVE (5) other people who you believe would also want to make a difference TODAY in a child's life!!! Working together is the only way we can assure we are well funded to bridge the gap for the children that we serve.
Personal Story from the Childcare/Preschool:
Fire Trucks came racing up the mountain as the kitchen of a nearby home was on fire! Neighbors had called because they saw smoke and it smelled like something was burning. Children lived in the house and were being cared for by their Auntie who was unaware there was a fire. The firefighters arrived and the fire was taken care of HOWEVER, the discovery was made that Auntie has schizophrenia and she should NOT be watching the children. This is when our two little brothers, ages 5 and 1.5, came to be cared for at our childcare/preschool. They LOVE playing, coloring and all the fun activities and we all love that they are safe and well cared for by our amazing staff and most importantly feel and experience the love of Jesus!
We are the body of Christ! With your help and with you sharing about us to your friends we can continue to grow and feed God's children both physically and spiritually!
